INDIVIDUAL SOMATIC EXPERIENCING SESSIONS
You may know why you struggle and still find that knowing does not change what happens. You want to rest, but cannot stop. You understand that you can set a boundary, yet say yes automatically. You long for closeness, creativity or change, while something in you becomes tense, overwhelmed or absent.
I offer individual Somatic Experiencing sessions for adults in Islington and Brixton, London, and online, in English and German. My work addresses anxiety, stress, trauma responses, body disconnection and difficulties with boundaries, relationships and change.
We can begin with a clear concern, or with something you cannot yet put into words.
What is Somatic Experiencing?
Somatic Experiencing is a body-oriented approach that explores how the nervous system responds to stress, threat and support. Conversation is part of the work, alongside attention to sensation, emotion, movement, imagery and what happens between us.
It can be particularly relevant when understanding a pattern has not yet translated into feeling or acting differently.
For example, as you imagine expressing a need, your shoulders might tighten or you might lose track of what you wanted. Instead of trying to override that response, we explore it alongside what helps you feel supported and able to choose.
You do not have to relive everything that has happened. We approach difficult experiences gradually, rather than pushing for intensity or emotional release. Any touch offered in person is optional and guided by explicit, ongoing consent.
Clear focus, room for discovery
We discuss what you want support with, agree an initial focus and review how the work is meeting your needs. There is also room for your understanding of those needs to change.
Wanting less anxiety might include learning to recognise anger. Difficulty resting might involve responsibility or fear of disappointing someone. A creative block might hold a conflict between wanting to be seen and needing protection.
These are possibilities to explore, not conclusions I impose.
I offer an attentive, collaborative approach that makes room for uncertainty without losing direction. You can question an interpretation, decline an exercise or tell me something is not helping. Trust does not have to be given in advance.
We are working towards more capacity and choice: recognising your limits, remaining connected to yourself in difficult moments, and accessing more of what matters to you. Change may include feeling better, but also becoming more able to rest, relate, create and act.

Somatic work is not a quick fix. It asks for continuity and participation, but you do not have to arrive already knowing how to do it. My practice is not an emergency or crisis service.

Common questions
What if I cannot feel much in my body?
That is a valid place to begin. We can notice whatever is accessible—perhaps contact with the chair, your surroundings or moments of feeling more present—without forcing sensation or emotion.
Will I have to describe everything that happened?
No. You decide what to share. We can work with present-day responses and sources of support without requiring a detailed account of your history.
How do I know whether this is right for me?
The free introductory call gives us a chance to discuss what you need. A standalone first session then lets you experience the work before deciding about an ongoing commitment.
